Dr. Eric Dahl is the owner and chiropractic physician for Apollo Chiropractic Health and Wellness, LLC, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Upon retirement from the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Dahl decided to pursue a new career as a chiropractic physician because of his own positive response to chiropractic treatments and his desire to maintain a career in public service. Dr. Dahl attended the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, earning his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree, cum laude, and concurrently his Master of Science Degree in Exercise and Sport Science in December 2013.
Dr. Dahl dedicates his practice, Apollo Chiropractic Health and Wellness, to helping community residents lead pain-free and active lifestyles through therapeutic chiropractic care. His therapies focus on individual needs while setting goals of improved health and establishing wellness practices for patients to lead active lives. This includes identifying and treating root causes of physical pain, establishing nutritional plans, providing rehabilitation exercises, and prescribing therapeutic massage to promote healing.
Dr. Dahl works particularly well with athletes of any age. His certification as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP®) ensures his therapies are directed toward returning the athlete to playing status and enhancing performance by removing restrictions that may otherwise inhibit full potential. Dr. Dahl has been the team chiropractor for the Duke City Gladiators for four seasons, two of which the team has won the Champion Indoor Football League titles. Dr. Dahl has also been the team chiropractor for the New Mexico Bullsnakes ABA basketball team, and finally a sponsor and provider for the Duke’s Track Club and RunFit road running events.

Why did you choose the westside to operate your business?
When we opened our business on the westside, we felt there was great opportunity for a full service and caring chiropractic office in the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho area. As we established our office, we discovered a vibrant community welcoming our services. The consumer and business community has been wonderful to work with and supportive of our business for the past 6 years. It has been our joy to be part of the westside business community and look forward to more growth.
What advice would you give to a new startup?
1st., Be aware and objective in a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis of the type of business and where you intend to locate your business. 2nd., Minimize startup debt. 3rd., prepare for long hours of work, and have personal infrastructure (child care, family care, meals scheduled, exercise time) in place to support your time committed to your startup. 4th., Schedule your days activities (work / non-work) each week, up to four weeks in advance. Do not let work activities (email, phone calls, texts) creep in to your non-work activities. 5th., Remember, running a business is a process, not an event, so all things take time and the environment is always changing. Be flexible to the situation.
